SCM - Supply Chain Management

Overview

What is SCM

SCM (Supply Chain Management) is a system that integrates and manages the entire supply chain from raw material procurement to finished goods shipment. While ERP plans "what to produce and how much," SCM determines "from which supplier, under what terms, and by when to procure." It systematically manages the entire procurement process including supplier selection/evaluation, purchase orders, receiving inspection, price contracts, demand forecasting, S&OP, and risk management.

VEXPLOR SCM Positioning

VEXPLOR SCM is an enterprise-grade supply chain management solution encompassing supplier lifecycle management (SLM), strategic sourcing, S&OP processes, import purchasing/customs clearance, supplied material management, and supply risk response. It includes strategic procurement functions such as demand forecasting AI, Spend analysis, supplier scorecards, contract lifecycle management (CLM), and procure-to-pay (P2P) automation, with real-time integration with ERP/MES/WMS for supply chain visibility.

Why VEXPLOR SCM

1. Integrated Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM)

Manage the entire supplier lifecycle from registration through evaluation, grade management, contracts, scorecards, and collaboration in a single system. Quarterly auto-evaluation, automatic grade updates, and audit report management systematically maintain supplier quality.

2. Strategic Sourcing and Automated P2P

Strategic supplier selection through sourcing events (bidding/auction/reverse auction), catalog-based auto-ordering, and approval matrix-based authorization automation streamline the entire Procure-to-Pay process from purchase request to PO issuance.

3. S&OP and Demand Forecasting AI

Manage the monthly S&OP process systematically. Automate the entire demand-supply planning process from moving average/exponential smoothing-based demand forecasting, multi-scenario creation/comparison, executive decision-making, to execution plan deployment.

4. Import Purchasing and Global Procurement

Manage the entire import purchasing process including overseas supplier orders, L/C (Letter of Credit) transactions, customs declarations, shipment tracking, and import expense/cost finalization. Systematically handle the complex trade processes of global supply chains.

Core Technical Elements

Supplier Evaluation System

Automatically aggregates quality, delivery, price, and service across four domains quarterly to calculate S/A/B/C/D grades. Includes weighted scoring by evaluation detail items, grade change history tracking, and audit report management.

Sourcing Event Management

Supports various sourcing types including bidding, auction, and reverse auction. Selects optimal suppliers by combining technical evaluation (60%) and price evaluation (40%), with automatic PO generation upon award.

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

Manages the entire contract lifecycle from draft creation through legal review, approval, activation, milestone monitoring, to performance-based auto-renewal/termination.

3-Way Matching

Ensures payment accuracy through automatic 3-way reconciliation of Purchase Orders (PO), Goods Receipts (GR), and Invoices.
